M. S. Major : Mystery in the Dolomites
Mystery in the Dolomites is a romantic thriller about a police detective from Geneva. Viktor Rubinstein is a gourmet and a gentleman of the old school. Much like James Bond, he loves beautiful women, great cars, and active vacations. At the headquarters of the World Health Organization, he meets an attractive Japanese doctor named Saki. For Viktor, she is more than love at first sight. She is the personification of his erotic desires and a goddess in human form. He invites her to the Dolomites. In the mountains, it’s not just about pampering and delicious cuisine. There are also bomb threats and the first of several murders. Because of the global scope of the criminal activity, both Interpol and the FBI become involved in the investigation. After a week, the action moves to Geneva, where a just-retired banker with a shady past is murdered. On top of it all, the world’s most famous watchmaking company gets robbed. Because the Swiss constitution protects the privacy of bank accounts even in cases of suspicious transactions, the prosecutors find themselves in an unenviable position from the start. The story, which begins in early 2025, shows readers just how easy it is to cheat healthcare systems around the world and hide large earnings in tax havens. The criminals see Covid-21 as just another opportunity.
